Incredibly honored to be invited by Novartis India and participate in such an impactful Roundtable discussion in line with their commitment to gender equality and inclusion. The event was part of their ‘SheLeads : Celebrating Women in Leadership series’ centered around the theme “Bridge the Divide: Empowering Gender Equality in the Workforce”. The event celebrated the diverse perspectives, talents, and experiences that each participant brought to the table! Each journey had a story to tell! The constructive conversations that ensued underscored the importance of collective action in creating a more inclusive and equitable workplace. The connecting thread was the passion and commitment of each leader to fostering an inclusive work environment. As part of implementing and using patient-reported outcome measurements (PROMs) in different usage formats, ranging from clinical trials to understanding patient voice in building the best health system, it is vital to have a comprehensive and connected fundamental system to find the best PROM relative to the situation. An excellent example of learning from a growing system for establishing PROMs is provided in the following paper. The day when we can develop this kind of system in Canada is one I look forward to. The future of healthcare is coming fast. We’re likely to see more advances in the next decade alone, than in the whole of the past century.   In such an environment, with such incredible potential ahead, we must never lose sight of our shared goal: to ensure innovations and transformative treatments reach the people most in need, when they need them.   So, I’m encouraged by the theme at the heart of this year’s World Health Assembly – ‘All for Health, Health for All.’   We need a guiding principle for action, of course, not just a catchphrase.   Delegates will discuss a new strategy for global health. They’ll look at the health impact of megatrends like migration, climate change, aging populations, and advances in science and technology. And I’m very interested to see the decisions made.   I’m also reminded of how important it is, and will be, to work together. To learn from our past experiences.
