Job Description: Volunteer Coach Intern - Performing Arts

Qualifications
Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online “Band Safety” course
Complete required human Resources “required Documentation for Volunteers” https://www.peoriaunified.org/volunteer
Leadership skills necessary to serve as a role model for student performers
Collaboration with Staff in mentoring and coaching student performers. Volunteer Interns will not provide unsupervised support to student performers nor communicate directly with parents.
Knowledge of essential skills, techniques, rules and safety concerns for the activity being coached
Knowledge of specific injury risks in the activity to be coached
Knowledge of inspection of facilities and equipment for hazards and implementing necessary measures to prevent injury due to hazards
Skill in communicating with student performers and other staff members
Knowledge necessary to adhere to rules set out by Governing Body (if applicable) and Peoria Unified School District # 11
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess or obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Must be able to pass a background clearance check.
Registration at National Federation of State High School Associations (https://nfhslearn.com/ ) for training
