API Intern - Fall 2024

This is a PAID internship where you will gain in-depth skills in our tech stack that will take you further to success. You will make an impact by contributing to our product teams to deliver high-quality software applications to our customers.

- You’re currently enrolled in an accredited college/university and able to commute to our office during your internship.

- You’re detail-oriented, a problem solver, and a logical thinker.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and update API how-to documentation, including tutorials, sample code, and FAQs.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather technical information and user requirements.
- Conduct research and create project plans for assigned documentation projects.
- Get with subject matter experts (SMEs) to revise, publish, and edit documentation as necessary.
- Provide regular status updates and seek feedback from your supervisor.
- Engage with various departments to obtain the necessary information for accurate and comprehensive documentation.
- Prepare a final presentation or report summarizing your internship experience and key takeaways.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of APIs, software development, and technical documentation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with documentation tools such as Markdown, HTML, or similar. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and other relevant technologies.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Azure) and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Experience with API documentation or technical writing.
- This internship is semester-based and we’ll work around your school schedule. For the Summer Break, you can work up to 40 hours a week. During the Fall/Spring semesters, you can work up to 25 hours a week.
- Training and mentoring will be provided and you’ll receive feedback on your performance regularly. You’ll have numerous opportunities to continuously grow your knowledge base.
