Hamlyn Williams have partnered with a leading financial services organization, that is looking to hire an Audit AVP to specialize in Counterparty Credit Risk.


This role is on a hybrid basis out of New York City, NY three days per-week on site. Other available locations are; Dallas, TX, Charlotte, NC, Stamford, CT or Providence, RI. If you are not able to work on site in one of these locations please do not apply.


As an Audit AVP - Counterparty Credit Risk, you will:

  • Overseeing audits specializing in the counterparty credit risk space, working with all Lines of Business in execution, adhering to industry standards, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Work as part of a global audit team, which you will lead coordination of to ensure thorough and complete assurance over the end-to-end counterparty credit risk framework for the Bank.
  • Be able to demonstrate strong risk-based auditing skills, as a leader and executor.
  • Have strong product knowledge, and good understanding of the business, demonstrating deep and broad business acumen,
  • Be able to assess business controls relevant to the counterparty credit risk framework, as well as other areas of business, and provide strategies and remediations to counter any findings.
  • Have a deep understanding of the companies regulatory environment, and any applicable laws, regulations and policies.
  • Be an excellent communicator with great influencing skills.
  • Prepare and summarize audit reports to senior management, Board level Committees and stakeholders, whilst developing long-lasting, collaborative relationships.


As an Audit AVP - Counterparty Credit Risk, you will need:

  • 5+ years’ Audit or Compliance experience within a bank or financial institution.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, Finance or similar
  • CIA, CPA, CAMS, CRCM or other relevant certification is preferred
  • Strong familiarity with banking and broker dealer regulations; FDIC, NYDFS, CFPB, FRB and FINRA, etc.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
