Kingdom One is partnered with Hume Lake Christian Camp as they search for their next SoCal Camp Program Director.
Vision for this role:
The Hume SoCal program camp director is responsible for the planning, organizing, executing, and directing of the Hume SoCal programs during the summer and winter season at our Hume SoCal property in the San Bernardino Mountains of California.
What you’ll do:
Develop and implement the overall camp program which can include spiritual direction/theme, summer theme video, chapel sessions, speakers, band/music, purposeful and exciting activities & recreation, and other general camp programming or any other details pertaining to Hume SoCal summer and winter camps)
Hiring and managing part-time summer staff, hiring speakers and bands for summer
Managing camp budget
Maintaining excellent quality facilities and programming
Working with the staff and youth leaders to manage the safety of the students, ensuring an overall excellent camper experience
We’re looking for someone who:
Is passionate about Culture and Organizational Health
Has exceptional organizational, interpersonal, management, administrative, and computer skills
Is an excellent communicator electronically, in-person, and in writing
Has demonstrated experience of strong leadership skills
Can manage multiple tasks, projects, and responsibilities in an unstructured environment with frequent interruptions
Can use creative problem solving as well as independent judgment to resolve issues that arise
Is committed to the success of the organization through its people and teams
Must have sound biblical knowledge that is consistent with the Statement of Belief of HLCC and be able to provide a high level of spiritual leadership to staff
Has a proven track record of being highly collaborative
Our ideal candidate:
Will live onsite
Is looking for an amazingly unique community aspect
Has worked at least 2-5 years in a church, faith based ministry or christian camp
Understands that out-of-town and/or overnight travel will be required
Is a strong project manager who loves to serve people and is collaborative
A shepherd’s heart towards staff and guests
Evidenced commitment to the Christian faith and a desire to share the knowledge of Jesus Christ
Able to agree with Statement of Belief and abide by the Standard of Conduct
