About Us: Medamorph is a Management Services Organization providing services to Gastroenterology of the Rockies, and its affiliates including joint-ventured endoscopy centers with Boulder Community Health and Intermountain Health.

Job Description

As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Medamorph, you will serve as a key leader in driving financial strategy and ensuring the financial health and growth of the organization. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, you will oversee all financial activities, including alignment with our Joint Venture operations. This role demands a strategic thinker with deep financial expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships. The CFO will also oversee the IT/Network, Revenue Cycle, Accounting, Facilities Management, Human Resources, and Purchasing teams.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Oversee preparation and review accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, providing insights into the financial performance of Joint Ventures and the overall organization.
  • Oversee finance team preparation of financial analysis and variance analysis to identify key drivers of performance and opportunities for improvement.
  • Present financial information and analysis to executive leadership and Joint Venture partners, facilitating informed decision-making and strategic planning.

Financial Strategy And Planning

  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with Medamorph's mission and growth objectives, considering Joint Venture partnerships.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting to optimize resource allocation and drive profitability.
  • Assess financial risks and opportunities associated with Joint Ventures, providing strategic guidance to mitigate risks and maximize returns.
  • Evaluate the impact of long-range planning, new programs/strategies, and regulatory actions.

Compensation Calculation And Distribution

  • Develop and implement robust methodologies for calculating shareholder distributions, ensuring accuracy, fairness, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with legal, accounting, and operational teams to gather relevant data and input for compensation calculations.
  • Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate the impact of different compensation models and distribution scenarios on financial performance.

Capital Management

  • Manage capital structure and financing activities for Joint Ventures, including debt and equity financing, to support growth initiatives and investment opportunities.
  • Evaluate and execute capital allocation decisions, such as mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic investments, in alignment with Medamorph's business strategy.

Stakeholder Relations

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with executive leadership, Joint Venture partners, and external stakeholders, fostering open communication and collaboration.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to shareholders, providing financial insights and guidance to support their investment decisions and maximize shareholder value.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with physicians and management to identify their needs and provide business solutions.

Compliance And Risk Management

  • Ensure effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
  • Serve as the Compliance Officer to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory agencies, including IRS.
  • Monitor financial reporting and compliance with Joint Ventures, Medical Group, and outside business ventures.
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of federal, state, and managed care payment methodologies.

Additional Duties

  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Chief Executive Officer and physicians to ensure the efficient operation of the Medical Group, Management Service Organization (MSO) and Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC).

Qualifications

  • Proven experience 10 years in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in the managed services organization (MSO) industry with Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) or a related field.
  • Proven track record of driving financial performance, strategic planning, and capital management. CPA required.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
