Introduction:

Steidland Brands was founded in January 2023 and has grown to a $25 MM revenue business. We are profitable and well capitalized. The company aims to get its core business to $100 MM over the next 12 - 18 months. We are an Amazon Reselling business and are looking for a dynamic and highly versatile Chief of Staff to the CEO. This role, mirroring aspects of a Chief Operating Officer, demands a candidate willing to tackle diverse challenges ranging from strategic planning to hands-on execution. The ideal candidate will possess a robust blend of analytical prowess, operational acumen, and a non-entitled attitude towards intensive, ground-level work.


Key Qualifications:

- Outstanding academic achievement, ideally within the top 10 percentile on SAT/GMAT or similar assessments.

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategy consulting, finance, or e-commerce from top-tier firms.

- Proven track record of handling high-risk situations and comfort with uncertainty.

- Demonstrated ability to execute detailed plans and monitor their implementation effectively.

- Strong entrepreneurial spirit and a builder’s mindset, eager to take on significant risks for potential long-term rewards.

- Direct experience with Amazon FBA is a major plus. 


Responsibilities:

1. Standardization and Scalability:

   - Collaborate with the CEO to refine and standardize the company’s buying processes, enabling scalability and delegation to junior team members.

   - Free up the CEO’s capacity to focus on sourcing new high-quality deals and spearheading long-term strategic initiatives.


2. Operational Leadership:

   - Take full ownership of the company’s operations infrastructure.

   - Enhance or develop the tech stack and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for core divisions: Buying, Warehousing, Logistics, Channel Management, and support functions including Finance, Accounting, and HR/Payroll.


3. Innovation and Growth:

   - Work closely with the CEO to scout and assess new business opportunities.

   - Design and execute Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) for potential new business lines using a lean startup methodology.


Requirements:

- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Greater Boston area.

- Availability to work in person with the CEO on a daily basis.

- Exceptional detail orientation and a penchant for meticulous planning.

- Resilience and readiness to engage in both high-level strategic tasks and tedious operational duties.
