Citrix Administrator

San Diego, CA, United States

Looking for a candidate to provide Citrix Administration for a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solution known as SkyDesk at NIWC PAC. This systems administrator will design, deliver, and improve the SkyDesk solution deploying in both a classified and unclassified environment.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Function as primary administrator responsible for maintaining the existing infrastructure supporting the NIWC PAC Desktop as a Service (DaaS) / Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
• Design, deliver, and support implementation of the SkyDesk solution in IL6.
• Continuously evaluate, develop, and improve the SkyDesk solution in response to changing requirements, infrastructure, and technologies.
• Leverage technologies such as Citrix Storefront, Citrix Workspace, Citrix NetScalers, Windows Server, Powershell, and AWS hosting as part of continuous improvement of the SkyDesk deployment.
• Create and maintain documentation of SkyDesk configuration, maintenance, and general usage.
• Identify, communicate/report, and address issues or risks to the SkyDesk Solution.
• Coordinate with members of the Cloud Engineering Team for cloud related SkyDesk activities.

• Security+ CE
• GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
• Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP)

• Knowledge of ITIL processes and ITIL Certification
