POSITION SUMMARY The Digital Communications Manager is a new role on our Communications team. This position will plan, execute, and manage all digital communications and marketing for Wild Earth Allies, including email campaigns, website content and SEO, and social media (currently Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube). This position will also oversee all digital analytics to identify, analyze and measure trends, assess content performance, and optimize user experience. This position collaborates actively across our lean team and with partners globally to support vibrant storytelling that reaches audiences broadly. The Digital Communications Manager reports to the Communications Director. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Content Creation and Distribution Create and distribute content to increase followers and engagement across social media channels. Create and manage email marketing campaigns, including content, design, formatting, and scheduling. Develop blog posts, interviews, newsletters, program descriptions, and other content for the Wild Earth Allies website in alignment with SEO best practices. Coordinate with the Development team on design and implementation of online fundraising campaigns. Create short-form videos using new and existing media assets for use across digital platforms. Maintain consistent brand messaging that aligns with the organization’s overall strategic goals and priorities. Manage editorial calendar. Design and update presentation decks for target audiences using PowerPoint. Website Management and Digital Optimization Manage functionality of website to ensure it is regularly updated and that all content is accessible and optimized. Monitor website data with Google Analytics and other tools; apply knowledge to improve user experience and drive website traffic. Create and manage Google Ad campaigns to drive website traffic. Track and analyze digital trends, audience behavior, and content performance; adapt efforts accordingly. Monitor technology advancements and implement improvements to optimize communications efforts and increase team efficiency and collaboration. Prepare reports and analytics on the performance of various campaigns, including ROIs and KPIs. Collaborate with the Communications Director on new and innovative audience growth strategies. Manage online database of digital Communications assets. Duties and team responsibilities may shift to reflect evolution within the organization’s activities and structure. QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years of relevant experience in digital communications and marketing. Outstanding writing and copy editing skills with excellent attention to detail. Demonstrated success in driving audience growth and engagement on social media platforms, with a passion for monitoring and implementing the latest trends and best practices. Experience writing and managing content for the web. Skilled networker with excellent interpersonal skills. Highly skilled in use of website analytics tools and related reporting and application. Experience with SEO and SEM strategy and implementation. Confident building and managing photo library systems using Dropbox. Proficient in design and photo/video editing software such as Adobe preferred. Experience implementing Google Ads preferred. Comfortable synthesizing information quickly; responsive to global content opportunities.

  • Able to manage multiple tasks and projects with autonomy. Degree in communications, journalism, or related field. Knowledge of wildlife conservation and international development preferred.
