We are seeking a strategic, analytically minded Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to join our team in Chicago. This role is crucial for driving our financial forecasting, strategic planning, and budget management across the company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading FP&A teams, developing insightful financial analyses, and supporting key business decisions.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes, providing high-quality financial models and analyses ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and financial targets.
  • Develop and execute financial strategy in alignment with the company's long-term goals
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in finance processes, systems, and controls, leveraging best practices and technology to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
  • Provide analytical support and strategic financial insights to the CFO and other executive team members, influencing decision-making processes
  • Manage and mentor the FP&A team, fostering a culture of high performance & continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with various department heads to ensure alignment and accuracy of forecasts and budgets
  • Translate financial results and analysis into relevant, impactful narratives to communicate to stakeholders
  • Present financial updates and strategic recommendations to senior management and stakeholders
  • Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions as needed
  • Identification, production, and analysis of key financial metrics (KPIs)
  • M&A support as needed

Key Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing high-performing teams.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information in an understandable format.
  • Proficient with financial reporting software (e.g., NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Strong desire to grow and learn more about technology and brokerage industries
