This is fulltime-Remote role and will need 1 onsite visit per quarter to attend leadership meetings in Chattanooga, TN.

Qualification Skills:

• Prior working experience in a technical lead role
• Prior working experience with EDI and API's
• Prior working experience with Java
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with Unix/Linux environment and Scripting a plus
• Experience with IBM MQ and Webshpere application server a plus
• Working knowledge of Healthcare Transactions HL7 and/or X12 a plus
  
  

This EIT Engineering Team Lead serves the critical function of daily oversight and management of the activities of EDI Services Developers and Edifecs Integration specialists. This position is required for enhanced supervisory structure, modernization skills alignment, compatibility with Blue Core and Blue Exchange team as well as absorbing Separation of Duties App Support Specialists with the goal of DevSecOps.

Job Responsibilities

• Manages the day-to-day operations of a team with a focus on the maintenance and development of systems and supervising system modifications.
• Assigns, monitors, and reviews progress and accuracy of work. Provides staff management oversight including hiring, promoting, or making recommendations for staff. Conducts performance reviews and assessments, manages performance, engages in skills assessment, and promotes professional development of staff.
• Directs, motivates, and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, professional growth, and ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
• Ensures adherence to policies, plans, objectives, budgets and staffing allocations.
• Manages and tracks team-level project details and serves as the technical subject matter expert and provides leadership during periods of transition.
  
  

Job Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Sciences related field or equivalent work experience.
  
  

Experience

• 5 year - Experience with information technology concepts, application development and/or enterprise system maintenance methodology, terminology, and standards required
• 5 years Systems maintenance and/or programming experience required
• 3 year - Expert working knowledge of at least one programming language and/or one enterprise system in use at BCBST
  
  

Skills\Certifications

• Knowledge of information technology concepts, methodology, terminology, and standards.
• Proven Skill to develop and/or maintain an enterprise IT system
• Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in one or more enterprise IT systems
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Microsoft Office and email skills are required
• Adaptive to high pace and changing environment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical co-workers.
• Must be willing to adjust schedule to plan and perform maintenance and upgrades outside of business hours and be part of an on-call rotation.
