Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Health Plan Business Analyst with exceptional data analysis and Excel expertise for our healthcare client. In this role, you will play a crucial part in analyzing health plan data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to optimize our health plan offerings and improve overall operational efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of health plan data to extract meaningful insights and trends.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the effectiveness of health plan strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including actuaries, underwriters, and healthcare providers to interpret data and provide recommendations for business improvements.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process efficiencies, and revenue enhancements within health plan operations.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions and other data analysis tools to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in clear and concise reports and presentations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new health plan initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to provide proactive insights and recommendations.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst in the healthcare industry, specifically with health plan data.
- Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, macros) and other data analysis tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
- Solid understanding of health plan operations, including claims processing, provider networks, and member enrollment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
