Are you passionate about creating exceptional experiences in a breathtaking Alaskan setting? We're seeking a dynamic Hospitality Manager to join our team in Hoonah. As the Hospitality Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our team members and guests at our vibrant destination.
Key Responsibilities
Accommodations Management:
Manage the availability and status of accommodations
Coordinate billing and agreements for employees and contractors
Food And Beverage Services
Develop cost-effective and nutritious meal options
Ensure availability of snacks and retail items for employees
Manage inventory and maintain quality standards
Site Security And Safety
Conduct regular inspections to ensure site security
Implement safety training and procedures
Oversee compliance with safety standards and regulations
Uniform And Inventory Management
Implement uniform issuance policies
Manage inventory and oversee uniform returns
Coordinate additional retail sales as needed
Site Maintenance And Housekeeping
Maintain cleanliness and functionality of facilities
Ensure proper linen management and sanitation protocols
Transportation And Logistics
Organize shuttle services for staff and visitors
Coordinate transportation to and from site locations
Budget And Project Management
Develop and manage departmental budget
Oversee construction and improvement projects
Provide regular updates and reports to management
Staff Supervision And Training
Recruit, train, and supervise hospitality team members
Foster a positive work environment and encourage growth
Long-term Planning
Contribute to strategic planning sessions for site development
Prepare reports and presentations for management
Requirements
5+ years of property management experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or Business Administration
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to manage multiple projects and forecast inventory needs
Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
Comfort with travel by small plane and ferry in remote settings
Adaptability to rural village life and varying weather conditions
