Kforce has a client in Germantown, MD that is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join their finance team. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders
Manage the preparation and filing of statutory financial statements and reports
Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and ensure compliance with relevant standards
Stay updated on changes in US GAAP and IFRS, and assess their impact on the company's financial reporting
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and other regulatory standards
Conduct regular assessments of financial reporting processes to identify and mitigate risks
Lead and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and professional development opportunities
Manage workflow planning and ensure that deadlines are met with high accuracy and integrity
Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment
Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion
Liaise with external auditors and address audit findings and recommendations
Prepare audit schedules and support documentation as required
Collaborate with various departments, including operations, finance, and legal, to ensure accurate and comprehensive financial reporting
Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making
Manage special projects and ad-hoc financial reporting initiatives as required
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
Extensive experience in both US Statutory reporting and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Experience with statutory reporting and compliance
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
Proficiency in financial reporting software and ERP systems
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Strong technical accounting skills
Attention to detail
Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a team
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
