Qualifications
Basic Requirements: Degree: physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics. or Combination of education and experience -- education equivalent to one of the majors shown in #1 above that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education. Specialized Experience: In addition to the basic requirements, applicants must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level (ZP-III at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as: experience working with good manufacturing practices (GMP) to ensure consistent manufacturing processes and high-quality product development and experience working in advanced manufacturing sectors such as semiconductors, aerospace, defense, biomanufacturing, clean energy, medical devices, or other critical manufacturing technologies and sectors and experience collaborating with and coaching diverse groups such as government agencies, universities, manufacturing institutes, federal laboratories, or private companies and experience leading technology development and business-related initiatives. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
