Physician Assistant’s Responsibilities
Conduct complex and standardized patient care procedures.
Assess patient’s medical complaints and provide appropriate treatment.
Assist with collecting patients' histories, screening for tuberculosis, and providing guidance and preventative health to students.
Perform physical examinations and provide episodic or problem-oriented care under the supervision of a physician.
Physician Assistant’s Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant from an accredited PA program is required.
Two (2) years of experience with Heart Failure or Cardiovascular surgery is highly recommended.
A Current Texas Licensure as a Physician Assistant is required.
A Current Physician Assistant certification issued by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants is required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR and BCLS Certifications are required.
Must be proficient in utilizing medical and surgical equipment required by work.
