Job Description And Duties
Under supervision of the Emergency Services Manager SSM I, the Emergency Services Coordinator (ESC) conducts emergency dispatch services and works closely with local, state and federal agencies to coordinate CCC emergency response and services throughout California. ESCs are the first line of collaboration, communication, and coordination between local emergency managers and the state. ESCs are assigned to an Operational Area and/or to project areas where they will provide technical expertise on emergency management, response, mitigation, recovery, and other functions of CCC while representing the state.
During non-emergencies, the ESC will focus on planning, prevention, training, response exercises, and various projects that enhance preparedness for the region and partner agencies. During emergencies, the ESC will respond to provide coordination between an operational area and the Region and/or State Operations Center within the Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS).
Additionally, The ESC Conducts The Following Tasks And Duties:
Annually revises statewide emergency contracts between the CCC and other agencies. Assists Budget office staff with development of fiscal displays and TBA’s for emergency response costs. Compiles, prepares and submits to the Budget office quarterly emergency response overtime report. Assists Accounting with the verification of emergency project information to be used in billing local, state and federal agencies.
Develops, implements and evaluates the CCC emergency preparedness system, policies, procedures, program materials and training. Analyzes the CCC’s emergency management program and develops recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of departmental emergency response capabilities.
Prepares and/or audits and processes all emergency response billing packages to ensure accurate reimbursement of emergency work. Prepares management reports regarding the invoicing and receipt of reimbursements for emergency work.

Working Conditions
This position reports to 1719 24th Street Sacramento, CA 95816.
The Emergency Services Coordinator is subject to call backs in the event of an emergency and must be able to respond to a disaster assignment on short notice. Willingness to travel and participate in disaster related work. A willingness to monitor mobile phone and respond to electronic mail and phone calls 24/7 (when assigned),
including holidays and in addition may be required to travel and work mandatory overtime in a disaster situation.
This service may require irregular working hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the duty statement. The ability to perform in stressful situations with tact and professionalism, good organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing are critical.
Telework / Remote Work Information: This position has been designated as eligible for a hybrid telework schedule and is expected to report to the CCC Headquarters office 2 days a week at minimum. The position may require additional in-person attendance to meet operational needs.
