Senior Director of Credit Underwriting

We are seeking a Director with deep experience in consumer risk and portfolio management to oversee the development of policy and automated decision strategies within our banking clients' consumer credit risk management division. In this role, you will lead a team of highly analytical, quantitative, and technical resources, leveraging your expertise in consumer credit granting, analytic capabilities, and regulatory compliance to optimize risk strategies aligned with the bank’s Risk Appetite.

What you will work on

• Lead the development of policy and automated decision strategies for consumer credit risk management, ensuring optimization within the bank’s approved Risk Appetite.
• Utilize advanced knowledge of Consumer Basel and regulatory compliance to maintain adherence to regulatory requirements.
  
• Oversee credit methodology, risk-return optimization, and capital management strategies for consumer lending portfolios.
  
• Drive the linkage between credit risk strategies and the bank’s financial management objectives.
  
• Develop and implement strategies for consumer credit analysis, including the application of behavioral scorecards and analytics.
  
• Provide in-depth expertise in complex consumer credit transactions, including underwriting, loan structure, documentation, and origination channels.
  
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and bank policies and procedures related to consumer lending.
  
  

What you will bring

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  
• Extensive experience in consumer credit risk management, with a focus on portfolio management, line relationship/transactional credit, and consumer underwriting.
  
• Extensive experience managing a team of highly analytical, quantitative, and technical resources.
• Strong understanding of credit methodology, risk-return optimization, and capital management principles.
• Expertise in consumer credit analysis, including the application of behavioral scorecards and analytics.
  
• In-depth knowledge of complex consumer credit transactions and origination channels.
  
• Proven track record of developing and implementing effective risk management strategies in a consumer lending environment.

• Pay Range: $ 100 - $130 per hour (W2/Hourly)
