I am thrilled to share progress towards our 280 Earth mission: to return atmospheric CO2 levels to pre-industrial levels of 280 parts per million. We plan to commercialize our flexible, cost-efficient direct air capture (“DAC”) technology capable of extracting CO2 from the ambient air at large scale. 280 Earth’s technology was developed as a project within X, Alphabet’s Moonshot Factory (X, the moonshot factory), for almost five years under the leadership of tech pioneer jacques gagne and team.
