We feel it is our responsibility to raise awareness and protect our community from falling victim to these deceitful tactics. These scammers are preying on job seekers, offering false promises of employment opportunities within our organization. They may reach out via email, social media, or even text messages, claiming to represent Enpro and requesting personal information or other suspicious activities. We want to make it clear that these individuals have no affiliation with our company whatsoever. Always remember that legitimate companies will never ask for personal information upfront or payments. If you encounter any suspicious activity or receive unsolicited communication from someone claiming to be associated with Enpro, we urge you to report it immediately to law enforcement. The FBI operates an Internal Crime Complaint Center, which can be accessed at https://www.ic3.gov/. This website allows you to submit a complaint, and officials will analyze the complaint and take appropriate action on your behalf. You can access their FAQs at https://lnkd.in/enDzEZg9. If you shared your driver’s license, social security number, or any other personally identifiable/sensitive information, we also recommend that you consider freezing your credit (see How to Freeze Your Credit https://lnkd.in/gdJuSeQ9) and explore a subscription with an identity theft protection company, such as LifeLock. Welp, it sure does not feel good to know you've been duped :( Especially when it comes to job searching, as if I have nothing better to do. What a waste of time. I just concluded a very long interview with individuals claiming to be from Enpro Industries and after everything I have read, realize it's a complete scam. The information I would like to share with everyone is the original person that initiated the process claimed to be Juan Lopez with this phone number (434) 321-5059, he engaged me via text. Not sure if its a real persons number or not, but DO NOT trust it. Next was the interview via IM with the person claiming to be the same HR individual listed on EnPro's website - but of course no way to tell as the interview was via Skype. They asked to use Skype or MyTeams for the interview. I'll be reporting this incident to FBI's cyber claims and the Enpro company itself. There are some websites I've been looking at that give helpful tips on if its a scam or not, the best being typing in the companies name with the word 'scam' and seeing what pops up as well as only apply through the company's website itself. Here’s only SOME of what this interview is: Enpro is a US-based industrial technology company that designs and manufactures products and materials for technology-intensive sectors. The company serves industries such as semiconductors, aerospace, power generation, heavy-duty trucking, agricultural machinery, chemical processing, pulp and paper, and life sciences from 61 primary manufacturing facilities located in 12 countries, worldwide. Company’s EIN : 01-0573945 Headquarters: 5605 Carnegie Blvd Suite 500 Charlotte, NC 28209 United States Alright, we are willing to offer you $per hour salary. Also you would be receiving a sign on bonus from the company if you agree to turn down other offers and accept to work for us now as we would not like to loose you to another company. We will be providing funds via pay-check for purchase of the working materials listed above, the company's accounting dept. will issue out the check via mail/email address. After receiving the funds….. you will be purchasing the materials after making payment to the vendor, make sure you keep the receipt and payment confirmation slip till your working materials get to your front-door.
Yup, got an email from a GMail account from "hiring manager, Mr.Javier Kuehnle", wanting me to get on MS Teams and gave me a link for "department manager Mr Johan Ovalles934". I knew right off this was fishy and no, I did not contact this person, having seen this sort of thing before and knowing the red flags. Having come to LinkedIn to check the actual company I see that my intuition was solid; no such job, no such people. Scammer. For future reference (from having dealt with the same type of ruse before), they will often - and most likely - ask for a front/back pic of your license/state ID, SSN and in some cases, log in credentials for ID.me, and/or they say they will send you a check to cover costs for a "home office" or, the cost of a pre-loaded lappie which has all the software they say you'll need in performance of the alleged job. The check will be bogus, and you'll be out the balance of your account having purchased said lappie from an "accredited vendor". I have stopped Teams/Skype chats cold if I ask if they'll ask for ID.me login credentials or send me a check. Once asked, I'm ghosted. >snerk< Seriously wicked people out there, hope this helps, folks. Place a freeze on your credit like I did, just in case.

5moYeah. I got an email from someone named Kimberly Brown who sent me an interview invitation over Skype to speak to HR manager Mr. George Rivera. But I never applied to Enpro and what stood out to me the most was not just that I knew I hadn't applied for any job from this employer, but also they didn't even have the website of where I had apparently applied on . It just said: We believe you are qualified for the job position posted on (CareerBuilder) along with incorrect grammar such as using Him instead of him. Did some more research and ended up here so I'm adding this post to help others out so they don't end up scammed
