With Pride Month in full swing and companies running events, designing rainbow logos, and drafting messages to show support for the LGBTQ+ community, leaders may still question if this is enough. This month, CEOs are being urged to focus on meaningful actions that align with their vision and values. Prioritize the greater good, as what's beneficial for your coworkers, consumers, and company also supports the LGBTQ+ community. Successful CEOs recognize that profitability stems from forward-thinking. Ben & Jerry's, a top-selling brand, championed LGBTQ+ rights well before it became popular, illustrating the value of visionary leadership. And while the LGBTQ+ community is large, it also has significant purchasing power, amounting to $3.9 trillion globally, highlighting clear future opportunities. LGBTQ+ employees and consumers expect corporate leaders to act with integrity, regardless of profitability, popularity, or media coverage. Take decisive actions that reflect your values to build a better future for your employees, company, and the LGBTQ+ community. #PrideMonth #LGBTQ #Inclusion #CorporateResponsibility

Social Media, Digital Marketing, AI, and Multimedia man. I'll be talking tools, cars, footy, and other good stuff from here on out.
Said it before, I'll say it again... DE & I works, despite what "Supervillain X" says. Open For Business's research on the largest companies in the UK, US, Germany, and Australia has revealed a significant link between LGBTQ+ inclusion and corporate success! I went through the report and it's shown that businesses with high LGBTQ+ transparency scores are showing stronger financial performance and are attracting the best talent. So yeah, make sure you're on board with diversity and inclusion, because it correlates with better credit ratings, and innovation, AND it's shown consumers also prefer brands that champion diversity! #SmallBusiness #Inclusion #Diversity #LGBTQ

June is in full-swing and right now, companies across the country are either discussing how they will support Pride this year or are actively kicking off their Pride activations. So, what is my advice for CEOs this Pride Month as they navigate the current landscape? As I highlight in my piece for Fast Company, it's straightforward. Do something you can really, truly be proud of. Forget the noise and the nonsense, and instead take action based on your vision and your values. Focus on the greater good. Because the truth is, what’s in the best interest of your co-workers, consumers, and company, is in the best interest of the LGBTQ+ community. And vice versa. Look towards inclusion and belonging. Look towards the future! https://lnkd.in/ej5pS7zB #BusinessOfBelonging #Pride

Confidently manage your people | Practical HR for small business | Down to earth, actionable advice | Discipline | Grievance | Performance Management | Sickness Absence | Manager Drop Ins | First employee
🏳️🌈 June is Pride month. So many LGBTQ+ employees are still experiencing discrimination and prejudice. In fact, according to research carried out by Randstad, questioning over 2,000 members of the LGBTQ+ community, 47% of employees say they’ve experienced some form of discrimination and 39% feel more isolated than they did five years ago. I find this shocking and sad. Shocking that there is still so much misunderstanding and lack of respect of people’s differences, and sad that many in the LGBTQ+ community feel they need to hide their true selves. There is still a lot of work to do. We need far more dialogue and awareness for managers and leaders to help everyone better understand and appreciate one another, support each other, and work to their strengths. By fostering this, you’re helping to create a peaceful, caring and far more successful working environment for all. Many smaller businesses may find it hard to find the time to investigate the huge subject of inclusivity in the workplace. But there are small but significant steps that you can take. #HR #LGBTQ #Inclusion #TechCommunity #EngineeringUK

Embracing Diversity: The Power of Hiring LGBTQ+ Talent 🙌🏾 ✨ 🌈 In today's dynamic workplace, the value of diverse perspectives cannot be overstated. Hiring LGBTQ+ individuals brings a wealth of creativity, innovation, and unique experiences to many teams, driving businesses toward greater success and inclusivity. 🌈 However, it's crucial to recognize the intersectionality within our hiring practices, particularly for Black LGBTQ+ individuals who often face compounded discrimination and barriers to employment. By fostering an environment that supports and uplifts all voices, especially those at the intersection of multiple marginalized identities, we not only champion equality but also unlock untapped potential and foster a more inclusive culture. 💪🏾 Is your organization committed to creating a workplace where everyone can thrive, bringing their whole self to work? Let's continue to push the envelope, break down barriers, and ensure that diversity and inclusion are at the heart of our hiring practices. ✨ Together, we can build a brighter, more inclusive future. #EmbraceDiversity #LGBTQTalent #BlackLGBTQ #InclusiveWorkplace #DiversityAndInclusion #InclusiveCulture #PersonalBrand #DigitalMarketer

🏳🌈 Pride Month: Reflecting on Progress, Acknowledging Challenges This Pride Month, let's celebrate the incredible strides the LGBTQ+ community has made towards equality. However, we can't ignore the challenges that remain. Last year, a Deloitte report found that 42% of LGBTQ+ employees still experience non-inclusive behaviour at work. This creates a constant undercurrent of anxiety – fear of being treated differently, concern for personal safety, and the worry that coming out might hinder career advancement. This is especially true for LGBTQ+ employees who are also part of an ethnic minority. A staggering half are actively seeking new jobs, likely searching for a more inclusive work environment. At The Pipeline, we believe everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, and empowered to bring their whole selves to work. So what can we all do? ✔ Educate ourselves on LGBTQ+ issues. ✔Advocate for inclusive policies and practices. ✔Challenge any microaggressions you witness. Let's work together to create workplaces where everyone feels like they belong! 🌐 #DiversityAndInclusion #LGBTQ+ #PrideMonth #Inclusion
