Had the pleasure of being on my daughter’s first roller coaster ride. We made it a goodie- Expediton Everest! For those of you who are not familiar it’s a coaster that goes forward and backwards (in the pitch black). It also is on a mission to the summit of Everest yet encounters a yeti. She and I discussed how important it is to believe- in something, everything but definitely not nothing. We talked about how hard it is to climb a proverbial mountain. And we talked about how sometimes our fear puts us in a dark, cold place that we have to walk- I suggest run- through backwards to end up in the light of day. Hands up 😉- there is no one I would rather be climbing Everest with! Back at it tomorrow to save for the next expedition with this fearless girl- she wants to swim with great white sharks in South Africa!
Such a powerful life lesson Chelsea! Life has it's ups and downs and can definitely be a roller coaster. There will be dark periods and light periods but the main message Im getting from this post is to persevere through tough times cause there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel. Same message also applies to other avenues of life as well.. including our professional lives!
What a fun memory - for you both!
This is what life is all about!

2moThat is a great first roller coaster ride. As in life, there are times on a roller coaster when you have no control. You can't get off when you want to. You have to trust that the roller coaster is on the right track even on the 360 degree drops. Eventually the roller coast will stop at the end of the ride. You will be back to safety.
