How Long Does It Take To Climb Everest Mountain (8848.86m)? : Well, climbing a high mountain is a long and gradual process, and it may vary on weather conditions and physical strength. And Mt. Everest is not an exception. In general, it takes around Eight to Ten days to reach Everest Base Camp after spending few days in Kathmandu. And at the Everest Base Camp, you’ll spend around six weeks on Training, Proper Acclimatization,.Rotation to the higher camps & Final Summit Push. One of the intentions of staying at Everest Base Camp for so long is getting used to cold weather, harsh environments, and being familiar with the mountain you are going to the summit. However, the Everest Climbing Itinerary may differ according to the weather conditions and climbers‘ adaptation to the environment and other issues. Ice Limit Buffer Zone and Antarctic Exclusion Zone explained. 👇 American skippers Cole Brauer on First Light and Ronnie Simpson on Shipyard Brewing have entered the Ice Limit Buffer Zone. Skippers are allowed to enter the "yellow" areas for a maximum of 72h at any given time. This means Ronnie must either manage to cross the whole length of the box and get out to the west before the time runs up, or sail north out of it, or he will incur a 1h penalty for every hour spent inside. In this particular scenario "cutting the corner" seems the obvious thing to do and both skippers should have no problem respecting the 72h limit. The reason behind the existence of a buffer zone will become much more obvious in the Pacific Ocean after New Zealand where there is a long belt above the Antarctic Exclusion Zone which skippers can use tactically for temporary dips south to avoid having to manoeuvre if they can find better conditions a little further down their road, perhaps whilst waiting for a front to pass through. On the other hand, the orange Antarctic Exclusion Zone must not be entered by skippers who incur an immediate 48h penalty if they do plus 2h for every 1h spent inside the exclusion zone. https://lnkd.in/d4-a8CP9
