Helping B2B SaaS & Service have 50-500+ quality convos/day | Helping SDRs make $250/hr working for themselves
Do you pay your SDRs more than $10/hr? (avg is $30-$35/hr in US for tech) Then why are they doing these $10/hr tasks: - List building (why are your reps verifying if people still work at companies...) - Building SF reports to prioritize accounts based on previous interactions - Building sequences; first-time, follow-up, event-specific… - Writing email copy & crafting follow-up emails - Calling people who don’t answer - Finding routes through IVRs Cold outbound is already an expensive channel, don’t make it more expensive by adding inefficiencies. You can get the same output as 3-5 SDRs with 1 SDR if you delegate these tasks away from them. They should be focused on conversing - and anything that can be done by someone else for less than their hourly rate should be delegated. This is how I've been able to work with 2-4 clients at once as a fractional SDR and hit $30k months. Because I average 500-600 conversations per month. This wouldn't be possible if I kept all of the $10/hr activities on my plate. (aspiring fractional SDRs learn more here -> https://bit.ly/3LbYWpE) Are your SDRs having 10+ conversations/day minimum? Totally agree Hunter!
I completely agree with your points on optimizing SDR efficiency by offloading low-value tasks. In addition to your suggestions, leveraging SDRs from Latin America can be a highly effective strategy. These professionals offer competitive rates while maintaining high-quality work, ensuring that tasks like list building, sequence creation, and initial outreach are handled efficiently. This approach not only boosts productivity but also allows your higher-paid SDRs to focus on meaningful conversations and high-impact activities, maximizing your return on investment. You are 100% on the money. Once you can alleviate the tasks that are not best use of your skills or time, you free yourself up to execute to your limits.
SF reports? IVRs?

1wI am not sure if you've done this job or not, but it's not easy. The scenario you are describing sounds pretty miserable for an SDR. I know I personally would get burnt out. I think of many of the tasks your describing as like pressure valves. Sure, it could be more streamlined, but it's nice to change gears every once in awhile in that role. Also, a lot of the 'low cost' tasks you are describing are super important soft skills! Imagine promoting an SDR that can't write copy or build a list. 👀
