Back in 2022 we started a mapping project with Montclair Center BID called Mercator, aimed at collecting as much data about downtown as possible. The project evolved with the addition of star player Urality | From Main Street to Brain Street who is building a fabulous management platform. The question is not how to get the data, because there are billions of data points readily available for anyone to access. The real trick is how to use them to your advantage to help create policy, programs, and add value to the downtown operations. Very grateful and proud to see Mercator come alive today on stage at Downtown NJ conference.
