New year, new Sub-cycle has begun! Local Law 126 Sub-Cycle 1B began its filing period from January 1, 2024 - December 31, 2025 in the Community Districts Manhattan 8 through 12; and all of Brooklyn. (see below in map) REMINDER! What is Local Law 126? It mandates that parking structure owners arrange inspections every 6 years and promptly report the findings to the Department of Buildings (DOB). The primary goal is to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. These inspections commenced on January 1, 2022. However, it's important to note that not just anyone can conduct these inspections. Only a Qualified Parking Structures Inspector (QPSI) is authorized to perform them and file the necessary reports. Failure to comply with these requirements, including late or non-filing, carries significant penalties. To avoid any issues, it's advisable to address this matter promptly and adhere to the designated timelines. Contact our Falcon Experts today to assist with this mandated parking garage inspection and any other additional questions you may have. https://lnkd.in/esKuW62Y Mike Ramaglia (646) 292-3515 #LL126 #locallaw #parkinggarages #parkingstructure #QPSI #Qualifiedparkingstructureinspector #nyc #locallaw126

The deadline for initial inspections under both SB-326 and SB-721 is January 1, 2025.
