Congratulations to Virginia Johnson, Senior Recruiter, on her 24th anniversary at TRS Healthcare! In honor of her accomplishment, we sat down with Virginia to discuss her career and what she’s learned over the years.

When I first began at TRS, the company was starting up, and everyone strove to make the company better. I still feel the responsibility that I did back then, to do my very best for the company. Even when times are slow, you give it all, because you want this company to succeed.

I was working as a certified CNA at a nursing home in Fayetteville, AR, and wasn’t feeling very fulfilled. Another CNA told me, “You should go work for The Right Solutions (today we are known as TRS Healthcare). I went to Tontitown and applied, and Diana [Wright] hired me on the spot. I worked in the field for nine months, and then I applied for a staffing role in the office. I came in, interviewed, and haven’t left since.

One of my favorite memories was when Diana was declared cancer free. That was a very scary time, and we all had to band together to try and keep the company afloat. Hearing that she was cancer free was a miracle! I also remember that the nurses had to come in person to the office to turn in their timesheets. I loved that because I got to meet each one of them.

It’s all about finding the right job for the right person. I thoroughly enjoy it, especially when I hear the reactions of my nurses who get an assignment when they desperately need a job. That’s where my fulfillment is. It’s all about the relationship.
TRS has allowed me to raise my kids and provide for them. My daughter’s talking about going into nursing. I look forward to working every single day. Every day is different – no two days are the same. I’m going to be doing this until the wheels fall off!
