Payouts! Nate Diaz reigns supreme, Pettis tops Masvidal in disclosed pay for ‘Last Man Standing’

Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal: ‘Last Man Standing’ goes down tonight (Sat. Jul 6th, 2024) from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. And because California is one of the few athletic commissions left still demanding promoters provide payout information for their events, we know roughly how much everyone is going to make off the card.

The most interesting thing you’ll notice when looking at payouts below is the top three fighters: Nate Diaz is making $500,000 while Jorge Masvidal gets $300,000. On the undercard, Anthony Pettis is making a surprising $350,000 to fight Diaz teammate Chris Avila, who is pocketing $210,000.

How is Pettis making more than Masvidal on a card named after Masvidal? Well, the commission payout numbers are easy to fudge. Signing bonuses don’t show up. Pay-per-view percentages aren’t listed. And you better believe Diaz and Masvidal are making more money off the PPV.

How much they’ll make depends on how many people go ahead and buy it for $49.99 on Fanmio. But neither man will be happy if the fight nets them less than $5 million each.
