Tracker Pro is a mouse replacement device that enables people with little or no hand movement to perform all mouse functions by moving their head.

Simply plug it in and it works just like a mouse (no additional software required).

The fourth generation in the head pointing device family from Madentec, Tracker Pro makes computer access even smaller and more compact than with the TrackerOne and Tracker 2000. It operates from the USB port of your computer or compatible AAC device and gives you the freedom to be completely mobile without need of battery packs or power adapters. Tracker Pro incorporates all the dependability and function you trust from Tracker One and 2000 but has made mounting so much easier.

Disabilities Addressed

Tracker Pro is ideally suited to persons with, but not limited to: quadriplegia, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease (ALS), Muscular Dystrophy, Cerebral Palsy, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and any other disability where the user has little or no control of their hands to use a standard mouse.

How Does It Work?

Plug Tracker Pro into the mouse/USB port (instead of a mouse) and mount it on top of a computer screen, laptop, or augmentative communication device. Tracker Pro’s high-resolution intelligent camera – in a solid aluminum enclosure – then tracks a tiny reflective dot worn on your forehead or glasses. When you move your head, Tracker Pro elegantly converts that into computer mouse movement, and you move your mouse cursor. Clicking can be accomplished by using ability switches connected to the Tracker Pro, or dwell click software such as Dragger or Dwell Clicker 2 for PC. Dwell technology, built into many AAC devices also works to let you click.

MacOS Sierra 10.12 includes a new accessibility feature called Dwell Control which allows you to automatically click after a specified period of time has passed. Tracker Pro, in conjunction with Dwell Control, lets a user operate a mac with MacOS Sierra 10.12 completely hands free. For older MacOS DwellClick can be used for dwell access.

Mounting Tracker Pro has never been easier. With the small size of Tracker Pro you will be able to mount it to your desktop, laptop or Augmentative Communication device quickly and efficiently. The lighter weight of Tracker Pro, allows it to be mounted using channel lock (or “super Velcro”) to provide a very strong, yet easily detachable mount. The popular hook mount can also be used.

In general, if a communication device’s system is computer-based and supports a mouse, there is a good chance that Tracker Pro will work with it. Tracker Pro is a mouse and uses standard Microsoft mouse drivers, so the computer (or electronic communication device) shouldn’t be able to detect whether a Tracker Pro or mouse is plugged into its mouse port.

You can select/click using Dwell or choose from a variety of other ability switches.
