Apart from new games and experiences, Microsoft also unveiled their new Xbox Series X consoles that would arrive later this year, and these are the speculated mid-cycle releases from the company. Two variants are coming to users, one will be the all-digital version of the gaming console, and the other will be a 2TB variant available to purchase.

This release would also be the first time that the Xbox Series X will be available to purchase in a white colorway directly from Microsoft.

Two consoles under the Series X were unveiled by Microsoft over the weekend, and first off, the rumored all-digital Xbox Series X is finally confirmed. This gaming device comes in an all-white look, a direct contrast to its all-black finish since it was released in 2020.

Additionally, this will feature 1TB of storage space, and it will be in limited availability for only $449.99.

On the other hand, there is also the 2TB variant of the Xbox Series X, with Microsoft calling it the "special edition," but will come in its classic Galaxy Black color.

New Xbox Series X to Release by Late 2024

Lastly, there is also the revamp on the all-digital Xbox Series S which would be available with 1TB of storage and the same all-white finish.

Microsoft claimed that these consoles would be available to purchase come late 2024, particularly during the Holiday season, with pre-orders to be announced later on.

Xbox Console Update Rumors

Before the recent Xbox Game Showcase, there were circulating rumors behind an update to Microsoft's current flagship console, the Xbox Series X, talking about a major revamp coming for the device. Instead of its iconic rectangular shape, it was said to feature a spherical one, and it was also said that it would be the first Series X to be offered all-digital and in white.

Two out of the three rumors turned out to be correct in this recent showcase, and only the spherical redesign was not accurate in this unveiling.

However, there were also rumors behind the unveiling of Microsoft's first handheld Xbox gaming console in this showcase, but sadly, there were no announcements or hints regarding the portable device.

The recent Xbox Game Showcase unveiled a lot of what the future holds for its gamers, including a total of 30 games that will be available soon, including several first-party developments from Microsoft, Bethesda, and Activision Blizzard.

All those games may be enjoyed in the new Xbox Series X variants coming later this year, either with the all-digital and all-white 1TB variant or the special edition 2TB console in black.
