The latest report from a renowned analyst unveiled a plan to bring an Apple Vision Pro budget version. This headset will be cheaper compared to its latest release, which will set users back as low as $3,500. This new device will not have the same capabilities as the original one, with significant tweaks to the original one, especially since it requires an iPhone or Mac device to use.
Even though this less expensive Vision Pro, known as N107, will have limitations, VisionOS will still power it to deliver a renowned Vision Pro experience.
Apple Vision Pro Budget Version Spotted in Roadmap
The latest Power On newsletter from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman claimed that a new roadmap for the Vision Pro is planning to introduce a budget version with a cheaper price tag from Apple. The device, codenamed N107, will have significant changes compared to its original release in February, and it will primarily rely on a connected or 'tethered' iPhone or Mac.

Currently, Apple's Vision Pro is a standalone device that can function and deliver its features independently, without the need for Cupertino's tech to be present.
However, the story is not the same for the cheaper version.
Cheaper Vision Pro: Less Features; iPhone, Mac Required
It was also added that the cheaper Vision Pro would have a narrower field of view than the original headset. It was also required to have an iPhone or Mac connected to deliver the experience. This is the way for Apple to save on Vision Pro's production cost, which it found challenging in the original Vision Pro's development, where all of its components are equipped for the headset.
Apple Vision Pro and What It Offers
The Apple Vision Pro is one of the top-regarded wearables in the world, and it is also considered one of Apple's best products to date, seeing massive successes with its take on mixed reality (XR). Its primary focus is offering a spatial computer in a wearable form factor, and its reviews highly praise the headset, with several minimal cons in its list.
Ming-Chi Kuo said it was supposedly a limited device from Apple, considering its premium $3,500 price, almost seven times more than regular VR or XR headsets, but demand skyrocketed. That being said, after four months, Apple decided it was time for a global availability of the Vision Pro, expanding to as many as nine countries in its first sale outside the US.
There are many good reviews for the Vision Pro, but one of the top comments about it is its expensive pricing, making it not accessible for many to experience. That being said, Apple has plans to deliver a cheaper Vision Pro, with the budget version offering a narrower field of view for users and will require using an Apple device alongside it to bring its renowned experiences to users.
