The much-awaited release of the Beats Pill is here, with Apple debuting the return of the renowned portable Bluetooth speaker, offering new experiences and features. This latest release from Apple claims to be a "more powerful" speaker compared to its predecessors while being a lightweight device that may be brought anywhere for all entertainment needs.

Various features have also been introduced with the Pill, now the designated portable speaker from Apple with massive compatibility.

Apple's New Beats Pill Officially Debuts

The Beats Pill was recently unveiled online, with several posts from Beats by Dre's YouTube account offering an animated video claiming that the "Pill People are back," officially marking its release. The video showcased the speaker's new colors, including Champagne Gold, Statement Red, and Matte Black.

It also expanded on the initial teaser, which featured LeBron James at a party. This time, the video also shows renowned rapper Lil Wayne complaining about the loud noise being delivered by the Beats Pill.

Wayne is depicted here as the annoyed downstairs neighbor complaining about a loud party. When he asks the crowd to turn it down, he agrees that his songs should be played at massive volume and vibes with James and the guests.

Apple and Beats' websites both list the new Beats Pill, which is available to purchase for $149.99. It is an all-in-one device with a powerful, portable, and loud speaker. It can be connected via wireless Class-1 Bluetooth and USB-C for wired and Lossless Audio.

Cupertino said that it offers a bigger racetrack woofer, which offers better bass, improved sound output that does not sacrifice quality at max volume, 24-hour battery life, 20-degree upward tilt, IP67 dust and water resistance rating, and speakerphone capabilities for calling.

Apple's New Beats Pill Development

Dating back to Apple's acquisition of Beats in 2014, the Beats Pill Plus was one of the very first devices from the company that it released under its design and patronage. However, sadly, this was Apple's first and only release before the company decided to discontinue it in 2022, also marking the end of its portable speaker experience.

However, all of that changed when NBA Superstar and Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James was spotted holding a Beats Pill-like device last April as he was walking in the stadium for a game. This was the first sighting of a new Beats Pill speaker in two years after it was believed to be discontinued, and the world did not know that Apple still has massive plans for it.

Later on, it was spotted that other high-profile celebrities confirmed that a new speaker was coming from the lineup, effectively reviving the device. After yet again featuring James to confirm the Beats Pill is coming, a date was set for a June 25 reveal, which took place earlier today, debuting the latest portable speaker, packed with massive new features and an affordable price tag.
