As announced two weeks ago, we are beyond excited to collaborate with the SCTI (Sustainable Chemistry for the Textile Industry), to donate our Sustainable Chemistry Index (SCI) methodology to the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme Foundation and the wider textile industry. Launched in 2022, the SCI is a pioneering tool designed to highlight the sustainable credentials of chemical formulations in textile manufacturing. Key aspects include: 🔍 Supply chain transparency 🌱 Responsible sourcing and reduced fossil dependency 🌍 Product carbon footprint and resource consumption ♻️ Efficiency in textile production and end-of-life impact ZDHC will adopt the SCI as part of its ‘Chemicals to Zero’ framework, helping brands and suppliers achieve sustainable chemical management. This collaboration underscores our commitment to making sustainability assessment easier and more impactful.
