Tuesday’s FuelAL luncheon at Innovation Depot was a hit! BHM’s summer interns got to hear from the current Rotaract Club of Birmingham President, Thomas Yerby, CPA and President-Elect Alexandria Bowker about how to get plugged into the community as a young professional and learn more about Rotaract. AND the panel was moderated by David A. Russell Jr., MBA, which is always a plus! FuelAL is a program of The Economic Development Partnership of Alabama, in partnership with Innovate Alabama to showcase Alabama’s vibrant communities to current college students. Throughout this summer, Trevor Sutton has led the charge for BHM, creating thoughtful programming and events that highlight the opportunities and community in the region. BBA’s July Inclusive Procurement Council meeting at the Birmingham Airport Authority drew 40+ attendees, with small businesses invited to do business with the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport - BHM and explore contract opportunities for bid in a variety of categories.
