Meaningfully involving key populations in the design and implementation of programs leads to more effective, person-centered, and sustainable outcomes. We witnessed this first-hand in #Ghana when partnering with key population-led civil society organizations to train health care workers to incorporate self-testing messages into #HIV prevention, care, and peer support initiatives. We’ll be talking more about this work at #AIDS2024: https://lnkd.in/et6YHn-q Learn more about our HIV work: https://lnkd.in/ejgF_5EW Learn more about our person-centered care work: https://lnkd.in/eMcs_9w2 #PutPeopleFirst #PutCommunitiesFirst #LetCommunitiesLead #HIVPrevention International AIDS Society

❓Have you heard of TIPs?❓ TIPs, which stands for “trials of improved practices,” is a formative research 🔍 technique where global health and development practitioners work with families and communities to identify and co-create behavioral solutions that improve health and well-being. Developed by The Manoff Group–now part of JSI–TIPs helps program planners identify behaviors that are both effective and feasible for people to carry out with appropriate support. 🌍 A New Milestone in #Malaria Prevention 🌍 A significant breakthrough was achieved this month in the fight against malaria! #CôtedIvoire and #SouthSudan have introduced the R21/Matrix-M malaria #vaccine into their routine immunization programs. With the availability of two effective vaccines, there is now sufficient supply to meet the current demand. 💪 With 15 African countries expected to introduce malaria vaccines with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance support in 2024, and plans to reach around 6.6 million children by 2025, the impact is monumental. However, the pace of rollout depends on country preparation and readiness. We are committed to supporting the malaria rollout in South Sudan. 🌟 Together, we are making significant strides toward a malaria-free future!
