We are thrilled to announce that the second cohort of Nexamp | City Colleges of Chicago Fellows have successfully completed their fellowship. This outstanding group represents the following CCC institutions: City Colleges of Chicago-Olive-Harvey College City Colleges of Chicago-Harry S Truman College City Colleges of Chicago-Harold Washington College City Colleges of Chicago-Richard J Daley College City Colleges of Chicago-Wilbur Wright College Our community partner, Amplify Chicago, was also represented in this cohort. Throughout the program, fellows received industry certifications and gained hands-on experience in solar technology, exposure to the construction side of the business, introduction to project management, IT, business development, and more through on-the-job training and shadowing opportunities. The fellowship culminated in a series of capstone presentations to the Nexamp community. We are proud of this exceptional cohort for completing their fellowship and look forward to seeing their continued contributions to the clean energy industry.

As Massachusetts navigates the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy, Governor Maura Healey has established the Energy Transformation Advisory Board to help guide the new Office of Energy Transformation in achieving ambitious climate and clean energy goals. Nexamp CEO Zaid Ahmad Ashai has been selected to participate on this Board and will approach the challenge with a vision for ensuring that the transition is fair and inclusive for all residents. The Board brings together a diverse set of experts and stakeholders to address areas such as reducing reliance on LNG, decarbonizing the peak, and exploring ways to finance the transition.
