Meet Raymond, a 67-year-old retired #FDNY firefighter and 9/11 first responder. In May 2023, Raymond faced glioblastoma (GBM). With immense courage, he enrolled in the IMVAX clinical trial, undergoing a craniotomy and innovative immunotherapy. Despite ups and downs, Raymond remains optimistic, supported by his loving family, Dr. Michael Schulder, and the dedicated team at the Brain Tumor Center. He continues to enjoy life, from attending Mets games to beach days. Raymond’s journey is a testament to hope, resilience, and the power of support. Lolly came to Northwell Health seeking a second opinion after she developed progressive left leg weakness which caused her to have multiple falls. Initially treated elsewhere, she was diagnosed with grade 3 #oligodendroglioma and developed a subdural hematoma. Dr. Daniel Eichberg and our team successfully performed a more extensive tumor resection and evacuated the hematoma, resulting in the restoration of her leg strength. Remarkably, Lolly was able to return home just two days later. Her journey exemplifies both her determination and the expert care provided by our team. We are honored to share her story in recognition of #GlioblastomaAwarenessDay.

When seconds matter, every moment counts. Daniel experienced a heart attack at a Melville bank, and thanks to the quick thinking and dedication of our nurses, his life was saved. Their immediate response and expert care made all the difference. We are so grateful for our team's commitment to our community, and for being there when Daniel needed them most. ❤️
When surveillance camera footage captured a man go into cardiac arrest at an ATM with no one around, the outlook seemed bleak. Luckily, our team members at the neighboring Northwell NetworkCare found him and immediately started CPR, which brought him back to life – twice. After receiving triple bypass surgery and an aortic valve replacement from William Shi, MD, PhD, FRACS at the Sandra Atlas Bass Heart Hospital at North Shore University Hospital, the man – our patient Daniel Greco – returned to the ATM last week to thank the health care providers who saved his life. On December 28th, 2023, Jace and Nate were born at 35.6 weeks due to preeclampsia, weighing 4.1 pounds and 5.6 pounds, respectively. Their journey began in our NICU, where they received exceptional care from our dedicated team of professionals. During their two-week stay, our NICU staff provided medical care and essential education to the family. Today, as they approach their 6-month milestone, Jace and Nate are thriving! We are profoundly grateful to our NICU staff for their unwavering commitment to the health and well-being of our youngest and most vulnerable patients. Their care and support make a lasting impact on families and our community.
