Rich Lajara, a PG&E Electric Operations coworker out of #Rocklin, was paralyzed from the waist down in an accident. When Rich started back to work, he worked with a return-to-work coordinator “who was very attentive to my needs.” This #leadingwithlove attitude helped Pacific Gas and Electric Company earn a 100 score on the #DisabilityEqualityIndex for the 10th consecutive year. The comprehensive index scores companies in five categories: #culture and #leadership, #enterprise-wide access, #employment practices, #community engagement and #supplierdiversity. “PG&E’s Stand of making it enjoyable to work with and for the company is reflected in the way it supports individuals with disabilities,” said Rich. On June 27, Pacific Gas and Electric Company held a #wildfiresafety open house in #BoulderCreek to inform customers about Enhanced Powerline Safety Settings (EPSS), outages in their #community, #reliability improvements, #affordability and customer resources. PG&E is listening to #customer feedback across our service area to help understand how we can continue to improve #wildfireprevention efforts, including EPSS and the Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) Program. PG&E Vice President Teresa Alvarado, South Bay & Central Coast Region, and PG&E subject matter experts were on hand to answer questions from 29 customers who were mainly interested in backup power solutions. Customers were informed of the backup power programs available to help keep the power on when hazards impact electric service in their community.

Among the thousands of people in attendance at Sunday’s San Francisco Pride Parade, nearly 200 represented Pacific Gas and Electric Company. These people continued a tradition that began in 1986 when PG&E was the first corporation to sponsor the annual #parade and two years later, we were the first corporation to march in the event. A big driver in showing up at various Pride events in our service area is PG&E’s PrideNetwork Employee Resource Group, one of the oldest #LGBTQIA+ ERGs in the country. Participation in the SF Pride Parade is our way of showing everyone that our 26,000 #coworkers share a #commitment to Leading with Love which helps ensure we’re all #safe and feel supported every day. #SFPride2024 #Pride2024 #PrideMonth #LoveandPride #pride #pridenetwork #prideERG #DEIB #diversity #equity #inclusion #LGBTQ #belonging #belongingatwork #diversityandinclusion #joyatwork
