This morning, the Shapiro Administration welcomed 25 new interns as part of the OVR Summer Internship program. Offered by L&I’s PA PA Office of Vocational Rehabilitation and the Pennsylvania Office of Administration, the summer internship program gives college students with disabilities the opportunity to earn a paycheck and gain work experience within Commonwealth agencies, while also fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Our team was thrilled to present "Creating an AI-Ready Workforce: Pennsylvania’s Employee-First Approach to Piloting Generative AI" at the Code for America Summit. This session showcased the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's innovative pilot program aimed at exploring how generative AI can enhance our workforce. While the spotlight on generative AI often falls on chatbots and AI-powered applications, our focus is on understanding where our employees see opportunities to apply these tools in their daily work. The pilot program provides a select group of employees across various job functions access to ChatGPT Enterprise, allowing us to gather valuable insights.
