✨NEWS SPOTLIGHT✨: “Jewish Family Service San Diego CEO Retiring” Michael Hopkins, the CEO of Jewish Family Service of San Diego is retiring next year after 13 years of leading the organization. During his tenure, the organization grew substantially and implemented innovative programs, significantly impacting the community. The Board President, Deborah Bucksbaum Maio, praised Hopkins for his unwavering commitment and bold vision. The CEO designate, Dana Toppel, will take over after Hopkins's retirement. Under Hopkins's leadership, the organization responded to the COVID-19 crisis and expanded critical services for the community. ✨ NEWS SPOTLIGHT ✨ : "Omni San Diego Completes $30M Renovations" The Omni San Diego Hotel underwent a $30 million renovation with a baseball theme to celebrate its proximity to Petco Park and connection to the San Diego Padres. The hotel now features a new restaurant, Ace Porter, and a revamped Tortuga pool bar and terrace. The 511 guest rooms were completely renovated, and the hotel's design now reflects the Padres' colors and baseball memorabilia. The company has invested over $2.6 million in local produce from 30 farms, showing its commitment to supporting the local economy. Jimbo's has stayed true to its mission by sourcing high-quality organic and natural foods and being involved in the community. Organic farming practices are meant to improve soil and water quality and provide safe environments for farm animals. A survey showed that many Americans believe organic food is more nutritious and limits exposure to pesticides or fertilizers.
