About us
South Carolina ETV (SCETV) and Public Radio is the state's public educational broadcasting network. SCETV amplifies South Carolina voices, provides educational experiences, and strengthens communities while working to create a stronger, more connected, and informed South Carolina. SCETV and Public Radio provide national and local content to classrooms via internet services Knowitall.org and PBS Learning Media. SCETV also provides teacher training and re-certification in face-to-face and online settings. SCETV currently presents How She Rolls, Reel South, By The River, and Yoga in Practice on public television in addition to national radio productions Song Travels, Piano Jazz, and Chamber Music from Spoleto Festival USA. SCETV began in 1958 in the library of Dreher High School in Columbia, SC teaching French and Plane Geometry classes to multiple schools via closed-circuit. Today the network comprises 11 TV stations, eight radio stations, and a statewide tower network that serves schools, hospitals, and emergency management teams.

Great start to the Republican National Convention this week in Milwaukee! Enjoyed sitting down with SC’s very own Gavin Jackson to talk about all things South Carolina and my strong support of our soon to be 47th President Donald J. Trump. It’s also been fun to meet so many other dedicated Republicans and patriots like Vivek Ramaswamy. I’m looking forward to a great week! 🇺🇸 #AimHigherSC #SCpol #RNC2024 SCETV

We are SO excited to share that you (yes, we are talking to you) raised more than $106,000 during our June radio pledge drive! Thank you to everyone who called, donated online or followed along on social media - it truly was a team effort. And a special thank you to the Vippermans in Rock Hill for their $5,000 matching gift and Andi Volpe in Charleston for her $20,000 matching gift. Your gifts were truly transformational.

Appreciated SCETV’s Gavin Jackson for letting me highlight a few of the very exciting things happening at the South Carolina Department of Transportation. Thanks to the investments from the 2017 Roads Bill, South Carolina has been able to increase the amount of road construction by sixfold in just 10 years. With projects in all 46 counties, the results are showing up on the ground.
