🌶️ Your executives aren't thought leaders. Quit trying to "do" thought leadership "for" them! 🌶️ I'll go so far as to say that actually, thought leadership is fundamentally at odds with the core responsibilities of your executive team 🤯 Why? True thought leadership makes the audience a liiiiitttllleee uncomfortable. It's new, it's innovative, and it means they need to take action in a new direction. And that's gonna ruffle some feathers. But execs are supposed to be showing all the stakeholders that the company is steady and growing and not taking crazy bets that might put 'em out of business! And yes, they're gonna share about the innovation... but it's incremental innovation, because you have to bring the customers and employees along on that journey.
