Mel bringing the 🔥 today! 👏🏽🙌🏽 Brené Brown once said: “If you are not in the arena getting your ass kicked on occasion, I am not interested in or open to your feedback.” And I felt that to my core. Every once in a while I give myself the reminder. Thank you for being my reminder Today, Mel Robbins! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-s6DQrqVHxM
Sometimes people are people pleasers or experience immense criticism in their lives at an early age so they don’t know how to remove this block. It can show up in their business especially when they are pursuing something that others may not understand. I see this play out a lot with purpose driven spiritual entrepreneurs.
Defining your path without the weight of others' opinions makes your vision that much clearer.
Great perspective!
What kills confidence? https://carmen-roman.com/confidence-killer/
The day I stopped worrying about what others think of my current or future choices or decisions... I felt so much lighter. I stopped denying my needs and trusted my decisions way more. And when it doesn't go according to plan, you don't worry about what they think either. The energy we waste and the pressure and negative talk we create. We worry so much about their opinions - we almost lose ourselves. But, I still think it's normal to feel a little something, from time to time, when people object or criticise or think they know better.
This is something I used to struggle with!! Why would we care about what they think? Plus they're most likely too busy thinking about themselves anyway.. It's your life, do what you want.
It’s human nature to seek validation and approval from others. For most people it’s a matter of survival. But I think those who can embrace what you are saying, will find it a superpower - or a shield of armor. Perhaps negative opinions are inevitable, and even painful, but our resolve to continue is the great opportunity for reaching our goals.
Because it could be your boss .....Or you're............Mom..lol But you are right for everyone else that is not family
Yesterday, I read this eye-opening sentence here on LinkedIn: when people say “YOU shouldn’t do that” they normally mean “I COULDN’T do that”. Amelia Sordell 🔥
