Jil Sander is proud to be the Exhibition Partner for the first major retrospective in China of celebrated Dutch artist Viviane Sassen, presented by Fotografiska Shanghai. PHOSPHOR: Art & Fashion 1990-2023 comprises more than 200 works and reveals over thirty years of multifaceted creativity combining photography, collage, painting, and video. The exhibition brings together Sassen’s most emblematic series and unseen archival material, shining a light on Viviane Sassen's creative process by focusing on two main themes: the importance of intimacy in her work and an incessant search for new photographic forms. The exhibition's opening was celebrated by a vernissage on June 7th, welcoming the local art and fashion community for a first look and a panel discussion with the renowned artist.

Jil Sander is pleased to announce that Co-Creative Director Lucie Meier has received the Swiss Grand Award for Design 2024 from the Swiss Federal Office of Culture (Bundesamt für Kultur BAK) on June 10th, during the opening ceremony of the Swiss Design and Art Awards exhibition in Basel. Lucie Meier was awarded for her exceptional design language, intuitive attitude and unique aesthetics.
