When Paul Dornier and I sold our first company Meetingbird to Front, we signed the acquisition docs on a Friday, started integrating the products on Saturday, and showed up to Front’s offices on Monday. So when we left Front last year after a few action-packed years, we were determined to take a bit more time off… I packed my bags (and two boards) for Indonesia and lived every surfer’s dream - hopping across islands, surfing 6 hours a day, finding the waves and barrels of dreams. But as much as I loved it, within a few weeks I was itching to get back to building. Fortunately, I have a twin brother who is equally bad at taking time off, so it didn’t take long for us to start building Alpharun 😄 . Two months later we had our first customer. It’s hard to beat paradise in Indonesia, but there’s nothing better than seeing customers love something you’ve built from scratch.
