*** Team CSG Spotlight: Amanda Trujillo *** Amanda has nearly 20 years of experience in various child well-being programs. She started her career as a Juvenile Probation Officer for the New Mexico Children, Youth, and Families Department. Amanda moved into application support and then several supervisory roles before becoming a Technical Project Manager for the enterprise Project Management Office supporting New Mexico’s Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) and Medicaid Management Information System modernization projects. In this role, she developed goals, objectives, and organizational processes and plans for these major IT initiatives in alignment with the department’s strategic plan. After 17 years with New Mexico CYFD, Amanda joined CSG in 2022. She continues to apply her child welfare expertise as the Project Control Manager for the Connecticut Department of Children and Families’ CCWIS implementation project. Amanda leverages her knowledge of the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) program and system requirements, including the Family First Prevention Services Act, to assess and refine the department’s project development methodology and procurement approach. Amanda also serves as the moderator of CSG’s Quarterly Child Welfare Practice Meeting, facilitating discussion around industry trends, best practices, and lessons learned from our projects across the nation, and supports the development and delivery of training courses for our Child Welfare Practice. Amanda says, "When I got my degree in Criminal Justice 22 years ago, I would have never guessed that it would take me on a path that led to system modernization and project management. As a former public sector worker, providing support and guidance to ease the burden on other human services state employees across the country is my ultimate goal.” Thank you, Amanda, for your commitment to improving processes and technology to better serve the needs of children and families that rely on child welfare services. #TeamCSG #nationalreunificationmonth #childwelfare #CCWIS #socialservices

**Team CSG Spotlight: Charles Barber ** Chuck has over 15 years of experience leading technology modernization projects for child welfare, health and human services, and social services government programs. In his work, his principal goal is to support agencies in implementing human-centered technology to better serve families and children throughout their communities. Prior to joining CSG, Chuck worked alongside more than 10 states and hundreds of counties to change the face of traditional service delivery models through the use of technology to provide better access to services for those who need it the most. Chuck currently serves as CSG’s Project Manager for Florida’s Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System modernization project, overseeing independent verification and validation, quality assurance, and enhanced testing to ensure our clients successfully implement a CCWIS-compliant solution that meets Administration for Children and Families (ACF) requirements and more effectively supports children and families. Chuck is a vocal advocate for children and families engaged with the child welfare program. Along with raising awareness for child abuse prevention, foster care awareness, and adoption, he currently volunteers with My Very Own Blanket, a nonprofit organization whose volunteers have made and provided over 100,000 blankets to youth in foster care. Chuck says, “My mantra is: Not my job, but my passion. I carry that with me into every interaction I have with the child welfare program. Social workers are called into this field to make a difference. If I impact even one social worker within my career, I believe in the butterfly effect that can help the lives of the families and children they engage with every day.” Thank you, Chuck, for making a difference in the lives of so many children and families! #NationalFosterCareMonth #TeamCSG #CCWIS #childwelfare
