Last year we noticed desired hourly rates for electrical superintendents and foremen on our platform continuing to skyrocket (and electrical contractors continually willing to pay them), so we decided to take a look at the data to backup the examples we noticed. It did not disappoint. It's clear that the most experienced leadership positions in construction are getting harder and harder to fill. https://lnkd.in/eGXDJmrx #electricians #electricalcontractor #construction

This week we are celebrating Lucas Jaramillo's first of (we're sure) many anniversaries on the Ladder team! Lucas came to Ladder with a background in operations management and recruitment at other construction, construction tech, and property tech companies. He has been a vital part of the team since joining, working with our clients to fill their open positions so that they can meet their project deadlines. Outside of work, Lucas loves going on hikes with his fiance and their dogs around the beautiful Boise wilderness. Thanks for everything you do here at Ladder, Lucas!

If you're an IEC Member or considering joining, come see our CEO and Founder Alex Stewart speak at the September Workforce Power Luncheon on Tuesday 9/12. If that's not enough incentive, how about a heaping bowl of Maggiano's pasta? More details below!

Have you ever seen the list of "10 Things that Require Zero Talent"? We've seen them published numerous times and the implication is always that they’re not hard to do. However, these 10 things might require zero talent, but they certainly aren't easy to do. We’ve re-written this list specifically for electricians with tips on how to make them a habit literally tomorrow. There are a lot of tips here, so try implementing just one per day so you can really focus on nailing that one. Over time, they will start to just come naturally. Contractors: try giving your crews one of these tips per day and watch how quickly the culture changes. https://lnkd.in/dQvUKizw #electricians #electricalcontractor #construction

430k: today's construction labor shortage in the U.S. 40%: construction workforce who will retire over the next decade 9.3M: projected construction jobs created over the next decade by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, Inflation Reduction Act, and CHIPS Act alone 54M: number of Americans who will need training over the next decade to switch careers due to job replacement by AI We have a lot of catching up to do when it comes to training the construction workforce of tomorrow. That's why we're excited to publish our first blog post in a series that will help aspiring electricians: 12 Essential Tools Every Electrical Apprentice Needs. We compiled this list with input from electrical contractors, individual electricians, and trade associations from across the industry to put together a list of the most important tools to have on day one. Special thanks to those who provided input on their recommendations: Samuel Bushay, Mahsa Poorak, Todd Hawkins, CAE, Jeff Unger Jr., and the thousands of electricians on Ladder. https://lnkd.in/gdPp5uzC
