This is the first-ever student pitch competition hosted on the campus. Months of dedication, hard work, and meticulous research & development have culminated in this exciting achievement. Since our establishment in June 2023, Panic Lock LLC has been dedicated to revolutionizing school safety amidst the rise in school shootings over the past several years. Our innovative device, tailored to meet the unique needs of educational institutions, serves as a beacon of security and inclusivity. Beyond merely fortifying classroom doors, Panic Lock fosters a sense of reassurance and peace of mind for students, educators, and staff alike. After serving as a Digital Marketing Intern with the Brandywine LaunchBox for the past two months, I had the privilege of assisting in the organization of the Spring 2024 Idea TestLab pitch competition. Playing a pivotal role in both planning and execution, I found immense satisfaction in contributing to its success. Additionally, I had the honor of joining the panel discussion titled "From Pitch to Prosperity: Lessons Learned from Past Idea TestLab Teams," where I shared insights from my entrepreneurial journey as the founder of Panic Lock LLC and reflected on my participation in the Fall 2023 Idea TestLab. Just when I thought things couldn't get any busier, nine days later, I found myself stepping into another pivotal role—this time as the lead organizer of the first-ever Student Pitch Competition, presented by the Brandywine Entrepreneurship Club, where I proudly serve as President. This exciting event provided students with a platform to showcase their innovative business ideas, whether existing or newly developed, in a concise four-minute pitch, to a distinguished panel of judges. I'm thrilled to share that Panic Lock won second-place, adding another highlight to our journey. Moments like these reaffirm my passion for entrepreneurship and the vibrant community that I helped cultivate at Penn State Brandywine. I look forward to what's next for Panic Lock and the Brandywine Entrepreneurship Club!

I am delighted to announce that my startup company, Panic Lock, recently made its public debut at Penn State's Idea TestLab Pitch Competition. In the five weeks leading to the event, I engaged in an intensive learning journey through weekly sessions conducted by the LaunchBox programs at Penn State Brandywine and Berks. This period was instrumental in deepening the understanding of my end users, and was achieved through interviews, comprehensive research, and market analysis. While Panic Lock LLC. did not secure a winning position in terms of funding, our mission remains unwavering. We continue to be committed to enhancing the security and safety of educational institutions. Our product focuses on providing a robust lockdown solution for classroom doors, paying special attention to the needs of students and faculty with disabilities. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my coach, Paul Esqueda, for his invaluable advice and support over the past several weeks. I also want to thank Tony Mattei for his role in introducing me to the LaunchBox at Penn State University. This experience has been enriching and pivotal in my journey towards creating safer learning environments!
