Brian Hickert, Business Development Director at SMS Infocomm, engaged in a dialogue with Nadia Dunn from @IDX TV during the recently concluded Reverse Logistics Association Conference. During the conversation, Brian elucidated the historical development and global presence of SMS Infocomm, a subsidiary of Wistron Corporation. He emphasized the dynamic nature of business progression, which is influenced by shifting trends and consumer demands. Brian pointed out that adaptability has been a critical factor enabling leadership success. He also discussed the geographical challenges that contribute to increased operational costs and noted the strategic shift in logistics from an East-West orientation to a North-South one. Furthermore, he highlighted the Reverse Logistics Association's role over the past four years as a facilitative platform that transforms competitors into collaborators. During the 20th Reverse Logistics Association conference, the Director of SMS Infocomm's Business Division, Brian Hickert had the opportunity to discuss with IDX TV the significant role that SMS Infocomm plays in the reverse logistics industry, as well as the distinguishing factors that set SMS apart from its competitors. In recent years, SMS has made substantial investments in tools and automation to extend the lifesspan of products, resulting in reduced costs for customers and increased profitability. One of many notable highlight from the event was the comment from Nerrick L. Jackson of Zappos Family of Companies, “Love the people and the process improvements and financial gains will come” We would also like to extend our congratulations to Julie Ryan of HP for receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award, and to our partner HP for winning the Circular Economy Award this year. In 2020, our sister company Wistron GreenTech began to pay attention to and seek the recycling of lithium batteries - a new technology for the recycling of cathode materials. We utilized the patented technology, direct recycling and refining of lithium batteries, to recycle lithium batteries from both consumer electronics and electric vehicles. According to the Everbat data of Argonne National Laboratory in the United States, this technology can reduce water consumption by 69%, #energy consumption by 73%, and greenhouse gas emissions by 68% compared with cathode materials refined by virgin (raw) materials. In recent years, Wistron has received awards and recognitions, including Fortune 500 and being selected once again for the S&P Global #Sustainability Yearbook 2023 by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. Additionally, Wistron was honored with the S&P Global industry mover award for two consecutive years and two of Wistron's plants were selected as lighthouse factories in 2021 and 2023 by the World Economic Forum 

Walmart and Wing set to expand drone delivery together in #Dallas metro   The use of drones to deliver products reduces carbon emissions by minimizing the need for traditional delivery vehicles that run on fossil fuels as well as reduced delivery times.
