Seeking a Technical Project Manager...or perhaps a mythical creature? Some technical project manager job postings seem like they want you to be a full-stack developer, a Scrum master extraordinaire, and a project management savant all rolled into one. "Full-stack ninja" – sure. "Scrum whisperer" – okay, we can work with that. "Design wizard" – alright, a little flair is always nice. But when you add database expertise on top? Now we're entering the realm of mythical creatures. If you can not only code but also navigate sprints, retrospectives, and burndown charts like a pro, we need to talk. Bonus points if you can also teleport – think of the time you'd save on those cross-continent stakeholder meetings and surprise code emergencies! And hey, if those project plans and budgets magically organize themselves, we definitely want you on board!

Third Party Plugins...I'd love to hear some opinions from others on this topic as I'm torn about whether I think this is a good thing or a bad thing these days. I've run across this with Jira & MS Teams so far, but I'm sure it exists with other companies. While I love the accessibility of providing an API to enhance an application by opening it up to 3rd parties, I find it truly frustrating when it appears as if companies who are capable of doing the work are just leaving what I would consider foundational features in the hands of 3rd parties. The good news is the capability might be available sooner. However, the downside is that many companies restrict 3rd party add-ons due to security or financial obligations. As a user, I find it truly frustrating to search for the capability only to discover that, no, it is NOT really available because it is a 3rd party add-on, and it will either not be authorized to install or will not be purchased. My perception is that buying into MS Teams or Jira is not a trivial expense, and to then require the purchase of additional software licenses & agreements with multiple other companies because you would like features that some packages (ahem Slack) offer out of the box feels so lazy. But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe MS Teams is a freebie for buying into Office 365. Would love to hear how others feels about it and what other software packages are underwhelming you?

If you're wondering how to measure how successful your Scrum implementation is in your team, there are two things you can do. ⭐ Look at the team satisfaction and the stakeholder satisfaction. How? Feedback. Gather feedback from your team to gauge their morale. Use 1:1s and retrospectives. Gather input from stakeholders to ensure they get what they expect.

There's always the temptation to combine Scrum Roles. I wouldn't recommend it. It's the best way to do two critical things less effectively. #scrum #agile #scrumroles

It's not just about the tools.👌 Sure, you need to know your Scrum from your Waterfall and be an expert on Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Azure Dev Ops. But it's more than that. The real secret is in the people and the relationships. How well you can communicate with your team. How well you can understand your stakeholders. How well you can motivate your team. That's what really makes the difference between a successful project and a failed one. So, if you're working on a project, remember to invest in all your relationships and all your people. That's one of many secrets to success with Agile enabling/governing tools and techniques.

I see a lot of “so-called” famous personalities on LinkedIn, but they rant on Scrum. when I read about the rationality (irrationality) behind that, it makes me laugh. It would help if you were on a diet when you have cholesterol and fat ( bureaucracy in Organization) ( Rules in Scrum). You have to follow the diet( rules) until you become “fit” ( collaborative Organization to deliver value) Blaming the dietician is stupid. I am Agile; i can eat anything, and my body should adapt. If you say that is what a product mindset is, it shows a pompous mindset! No one is forcing anyone to do Scrum No one is forcing anyone to do product management If you can deliver value and sustain in the market, go and do it. As far as i know, no Scrum Masters in the market says to create a JD For them and hire them. You cannot deliver value only with mindset; stop calling mindset. If mindset alone is enough, we would not need any other departments; only psychological departments are sufficient in companies!! We need a bit of process to structure our thinking We need to think about our thinking We need to take actions We need to learn frequently These ideologies are structured in Scrum, that's all!! Criticize about anything "but only after understanding it properly." Half-baked criticism is pompous!
