Watching Richard Seroter present what’s new in Google Cloud and Workspace demonstrates why he is one of my role models when it comes to public speaking. Amazing way to present complex topics to developers.
Now this slide really got me as a Developer Advocate: “Developers deserve the best innovation, simplicity, product, integrations, openness and community”.

My first Appsmith video to surpass 11k views in just 5 days 🎊; here are some things I know I did to make this happen👇
- 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤: I wrote, purged, rewrote, and reduced my script as much as possible only to keep what's valuable for this video's audience.
- 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: A video can be great, but it needs to reach its target audience. Identifying the distribution channels, groups, and funnels is critical for viewership and awareness. This video brought us +1000 subscribers.
- 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬: After talking to our developer community and internally with support, we identified Terraform needs and DevOps (CI/CD) questions. We support CI/CD, but it's a feature that requires a visual explanation; that is why we did this, and we will expand further with a series of articles and videos. The amount of views confirms it.
- 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭-𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: graphics, camera angles, and animations help illustrate what I'm talking about and keep the pace on.

I've produced hundreds of videos for developers and always get the same question 👇
“𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘰𝘴; 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨?”
I don’t have a definitive answer, that is why I did this breakdown. 4 things you can learn:
𝟭 - 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲
The video is a (beautiful) 1-2-1-2 punch of problem-solution language.
That's it.
Problem --> Solution
Old Way --> New Way
It keeps you hooked, especially if you're a tech leader looking to achieve their KPIs.
I also started with a POV.
Answering developers and leaders: "Why should I listen to you?"
Then, I end it with a fantastic offer - “𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝙈𝙤𝙧𝙚, 𝘾𝙤𝙙𝙚 𝙇𝙚𝙨𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙁𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧.”
We all want that, right?
𝟯 - 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆
Clean, crisp audio is non-negotiable. Period.
No echo, no background noise, just a clear voice-over with subtle background music.
I've used a high-quality condenser mic in a 32-bit float dynamic range recorder.
Bad audio can kill even the best visual content. Don't skimp on this.
𝟱 - 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴
The color palette isn't an accident. It's carefully crafted to evoke trust and professionalism.
Cool blues and warm accents create a tech-friendly yet approachable vibe.
This consistent look ties everything together, from the hook to the CTA.
It's subtle but makes a huge difference in perceived production value.
𝟰 - 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲𝘀
This feels like a Masterclass, right? It’s well-produced, period.
This isn't some damn Loom classic video or AI-generated first-person headshot.
This was an 𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵.
(I avoid geeking out about the equipment, but check the first comment for the studio setup)
Now, you don’t need expensive gear to achieve these results
Yes, I use cinema cameras, pro audio, and lights, but your phone can achieve similar results.
Follow me for studio-like frugal breakdowns and mentoring.
Ok - that's it for now
What did you like about this?
What would you add to make it better?

93% of online experiences begin with a search engine—it's obvious, right? In my career, I've set up many search indexers and aggregators; trust me, most of them 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩, 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞.
Over the last two years, I've used Meilisearch for my production search workloads, and it's so easy. I can host it myself, and the SDK and Integration are breezes. In this video, I show you how, in less than 10 minutes, how you can have a production-ready Appsmith enterprise application with powerful search capabilities like Full-Text Search & Typo Tolerance, Language Detection, Filtering, Facets, Geosearch, Ranking, and Relevance.
Check it out and tell me if this is 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐙𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐔𝐋!
